This issue was pressed by CBS and the label has a dipped 45mm pressing ring.This issue has a solid centre and comes in a plain white sleeve or a 2 Tone company sleeve.
Recorded for a mere £700 and initially distributed by Rough Trade. These came with a plain white sleeve, initially stamped by the band with the words THE SPECIAL A.K.A 'Gangsters' Vs THE SELECTER. This stamped sleeve was limited to 5000 copies.
The B side, complete with its own unique catalogue number, was a demo that was recorded a few years before its release by Neol Davies, John Bradbury and Barry Jones.
It became the biggest selling independent single of the year.
